Vernissage

“Another panorama of the “cold war” with false information and demonstration of forces. Therefore, the use of black and white flags that colonize the periphery of a body (the body as a metaphor for individual geography, also as a border) hidden behind a cape. The flags refer to the images of historical documentations, where all these symbols appear in black and white. A chair, a table, barbed wire, music boxes, flags of the different countries are building a landscape composed of the historical borderline realities”. Pedro Deniz

to watch through the window of the art space Dreiviertel
and online
May 22 – May 31, 2020
One of the significant qualities of our little art space Dreiviertel in Bern is the big window. This window provides an access to the outside world and connecting global and local.
Since the beginning of the last year we have showed projects with artists and curators from Croatia, Turkey, Honduras, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt, France, Switzerland and Russia. We try to keep the intercultural bridge afloat in contributing to the diversity of the Bernese art scene. Although the current exhibition with spanish artist Pedro Déniz from the Canary Islands had to be postponed, we will use this window to give a voice to the artists from different parts of the world whom we were honored to collaborate with until now and hoping for more projects in the very near future.
Slowly we are returning to the analog world and inviting you to have a look through our window or right here:
